ION CREANGA'S HOVEL
Ion Creanga's hovel was built before 1850, in the slums of Ticau also called "THe Valey of Weeping".The story teller Ion Creanga lived here from 1872 until 1889, the year of his death(New Year's Eve).In 1879 even Mihai Eminescu was lodged a few months.The hovel became a museum in 1918, thus becoming the first memorial home in the country.In 1989, with the (...)
